Nintendo Cereal

Does anyone else remember the Nintendo Breakfast cereal? Anyone have any idea where I could go to find a box of this stuff? (Not to eat of course! )

 

Also, has anyone ever come across a website that has the commercial avaiable to watch? Or a website with any Nintendo commercial for that matter.

I remember eating that stuff, back in the day. I have no idea where you could find some, I'd say check ebay regularly.

 

The only Nintendo commercial I've ever found is the Mario Bros. one for the 2600, which isn't really a Nintendo commerial at all. I'm positive there are Nintendo commercials floating around the net, though.

You can finda number of Mario commercials at http://www.classicgaming.com/tmk/ though they don't have the tv commercial to the cereal, they do seem to have a print ad to it. And a number of other commercials

Anyone remember Mr. T. Cereal? I thought it was funny because right after I posted the original message, Pee-Wee's Bid Adventure came on TV, and in the begining he was eating Mr. T. Cereal! Man, that brings me back! It is 1985 all over again!

The one I'm thinking of isn't exactly a rap but I think it went something like.

 

Nin-ten-do, it's for breakfast now!

Wow, that brings back memories. I remember that song too. In fact, I was in Middle School when that stuff was selling, and I remember going to some competition between Middle Schools in the area. This one school won almost everything and the bus ride back my friends and I made up songs about how dorky that school was. One of our songs used the Nintendo cereal melody and it went like this:

 

Dor-y Middle, it's a school for nerds!

Dor-y Middle, they come in very large herds!

All these cereals were the same exact cereal just shaped differently.

 

Addams Family cereal was the same thing as the Nintendo Cereal.

 

I loved both.

 

As I recall, there were two different kinds. One had SMB and Zelda. One had SMB, Zelda and another which escapes me at the moment. Am I incorrect in thinking this? It seems very clear. I just can't remember the third game. Maybe I am wrong.

 

I remember Pac Man soup. Little Pac Men, Ghosts and dots. Both small and Powered.
