0078265317 #1 Posted June 29, 2013 I got a super nintendo ac adapter off ebay for 10 bucks. The old adapter I have is broken. The case is cracked but the adapter it self still works. The used adapter I got off ebay is useless. It doesn't work. Glad it didn't fry my super nintendo. Anyhow I'd just like to swap the cases. But the adapter doesn't use regular screws like some others. So how do I open the shell without breaking it. What kind of screws are those.
0078265317 #2 Posted June 29, 2013 Never mind I used a needle nose pliar to get the screws out. But the cases were different and didn't match. Anyhow I measured with a volt meter and got 13 volts from my broken but working ac adapter. The used ebay one only gets 0.3 volts. How weird.
sqoon #3 Posted June 30, 2013 The SNES AC adapters have two security screws holding the case together. I have taken them apart before with help of a spanner type security bit.
0078265317 #4 Posted June 30, 2013 I used a needle nose pliar. Anyhow is there any way to fix the broken ac adapter. How weird it's only 0.3v. But that's not dead. Dead would be ZERO right?
thegamezmaster #5 Posted July 1, 2013 I think they use a Spanner bit number 8 IIRC. I made one out of a flat head screwdriver and a dremel. Could be just the cable. If you get it open measure inside and see what it reads. I've had a few like that.
