0078265317 #1 Posted July 1, 2013 http://www.amazon.com/Nintendo-Game-Boy-Original-Gray-Advance/dp/B000R08L7M What, 800 dollars for a gameboy? Who would pay that? Am I missing something?
ACrystal2011 #2 Posted July 1, 2013 I paid 3.99 for mine from goodwill.
0078265317 #3 Posted July 1, 2013 And I got one for 10 dollars of ebay. But 800 is just crazy.
AtariLeaf #4 Posted July 2, 2013 They might make interesting collectible or display pieces but to actually use one to play on a regular basis is crazy to me considering the better options that won't make your eyeballs bleed. I don't understand how anyone used those regularly back in the day. Get a nice AGS-101 and put the original gameboy on a shelf where it belongs. roberto #5 Posted July 2, 2013 $800 because.... it's the last one in stock, then they are gone forever!
amiman99 #6 Posted July 2, 2013 Just ignore it, some people think they're sitting on GOLD.
+madman #7 Posted July 2, 2013 $800 and it doesn't even include Alleyway?
+Gemintronic #8 Posted July 2, 2013 $800 because.... it's the last one in stock, then they are gone forever! I hear it's a trick to keep your same posting in place. Make the last one unsellable until you get more stock. I don't understand the mechanics of it but this is what I heard.

+Gemintronic #10 Posted July 2, 2013 That would take a million years to work. You're right. I don't honestly get it. Can anyone confirm it actually saves a buck to change the price to astronomical values instead of just re-posting when you get new stock?
AtariTexas #11 Posted July 2, 2013 I should offer them to buy mine for 400............tell them they can sell it and double their money

toptenmaterial #13 Posted July 3, 2013 You're right. I don't honestly get it. Can anyone confirm it actually saves a buck to change the price to astronomical values instead of just re-posting when you get new stock? I certainly can't confirm it. I can understand (barely) someone who has the patience holding on to an item for decades, and then selling it. But I guess in a dark relm where crystal meth and grandios thinking is involved, being the trendsetter for $800 makes perfect sense.
+Gemintronic #14 Posted July 3, 2013 I guess the mad are the best judges of value since they live in a world of their own I continually see $5 dollar pirate Famicom carts going for $80 dollars because they think they can.
Lastcallhall #15 Posted July 3, 2013 AFAIK, the idea is that if the item doesn't sell for a power seller (which I assume the eBay seller is), then the item gets relisted at no cost. It saves the seller money in that they don't have to pay for a whole new auction.
