AtariLeaf #2 Posted July 7, 2013 Sorry to hear about your grandmother, very sad but you say you were introduced to video games back in 89?
NorfolkState2003 #3 Posted July 7, 2013 Thank you AtariLeaf, actually in my statement, I said I was introduced to Sega products in 1989. Although my early childhood was influenced on Nintendo and Atari, I never had a Sega product and my grandmother showed me the first Sega product I ever saw in the Summer of 1989

ajaxjames #5 Posted July 7, 2013 (edited) Sorry to Hear about your Grandma Norfolk. I also say shame on anyone who tries to get items from you dirt cheap in this situation Edited July 7, 2013 by ajaxjames
NorfolkState2003 #6 Posted July 7, 2013 Thank you Ajax, We will see what happens, so far, no items were sold, but I am working on a way to get there regardless. I do not hold any hope that anything would get sold here anyways. I do want to send money over there regardless since I know this is going to be a very expensive funeral and the hospital bill from my grandmothers visit I pretty much assume is not pretty.

tremoloman2006 #9 Posted July 8, 2013 Sorry about your grandmothers passing... my grandmother just turned 100 in May and I'm closer to her than anyone in this world.
NorfolkState2003 #10 Posted July 8, 2013 Thank you to everyone that has messaged to me about my grandmother. I am glad that my grandmother no longer has to suffer anymore. I have yet to sell anything at all to save up for a plane ticket to Puerto Rico, but I am doubting anyone will. I am accepting offers and all expired sales that were expired on the 6th are still active. Many Thanks!
nofrills100 #11 Posted July 8, 2013 Personally I think if these items were going to sell - they would have by now. Have you tried to sell them on other forums that may be more suited? Then there is always ebay. Something is only worth what people are willing to pay for it, start it low, get interest, sell it for the highest bid and be done with it I say. NorfolkState2003 #12 Posted July 8, 2013 Already done that, I am probably just going to set it ablaze in a bonfire or have it destroyed responsibly. This stuff if unsold is considered worthless and not even worth giving away because as you say it, something is only worth what people are willing to pay for it. eBay is a corrupt system when it comes to its fees (almost 9% for FVF, a fee to begin with, and then another 4% loss by Paypal). And since I cant get rid of it, then its not worth keeping, I am sorry for the harshness, however I guess I sell junk, and not good stuff to Atari Age Members. Also I am still reeling very hard from the loss of my grandmother, and at the rate I am at, I will not be able to make it to her funeral. I have items that are very nice thats on sale, like systems, some accessories, and games. If you think it is too expensive, than thats your opinion, but please do not write them on a page that is trying to get some help after a loss in my family. I will not do that to your pages if your family has had a death like mine did, and whats crazy is I also lost my uncle on the 3rd of this month as well, so I am currently mourning 2 deaths instead of one. I know that you did not come here to make your own statements known like that, but please understand this isnt really the best time to do that. Thank You! NorfolkState2003 #13 Posted July 9, 2013 I am currently taking Best Offer suggestions, if interested, please let me know. I am close to getting enough saved up for a plane ticket to see my family. Any help will be greatly appreciated!
NorfolkState2003 #14 Posted July 11, 2013 I took all the friendly and even unfriendly advice of the fellow AtariAge Members and lowered nearly everything on all my listings. I am still accepting Best Offers despite lowering prices. Please let me know if interested, or are looking for a photo to make a decision (Serious Inquiries Only!) Thank You!
