trevDesigns #1 Posted July 8, 2013 Is there any difference in the RF cable between the Heavy/Light Sixers/4 Switch Woody or Vaders? I have a Heavy Sixer in very nice shape except the RF cable which has electrical tape all over it. Wondering if I have to replace it with another Heavy Sixer RF cable or would one from a (much cheaper) model work just as well.
mkiker2089 #2 Posted July 8, 2013 The best bet is to get a new updated RF cable from Best Electronics. You have to call them but the cable has shielding which does help a tiny bit with static. The cable should be the same for all. It's a short RCA on the motherboard that has less than half an inch for clearance. In theory any RCA would work but in practice making one fit is a pain. If you can find a right angle RCA you'll do well.
Matthew #3 Posted July 8, 2013 (edited) The original heavy sixer rf cable was made out of unobtanium. Unobtanium is a super conductor at room temperature, making it vastly superior to the standard copper cables. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unobtainium Edited July 8, 2013 by Matthew
Jinks #4 Posted July 8, 2013 (edited) Maybe length. but they are all cheaply made cords. Mine always screwed up as a kid. Went thru half a dozen on my systems. I use monster brand gold rca cable from the dollar store. works great. Edited July 8, 2013 by Jinks
