Goodwill: A better deal I have never seen!!

Recommended Posts

So I stopped by Goodwill after a long absence (at least two weeks or more). It was my lucky day, I had no idea!

I saw the sign that said 50% green and blue tag thingies, and since I know the size of this store, I figured everything would be cleared out.

I saw nothing of interest during my first sweep. Just the same old genesis junk, always costing $14.99.

On my way out I relooked at two Playstation gameshark boxes. One didn't have a price on it, and the other seemed to be empty, but costed $1. The first time I saw it on the way in I guess I just assumed that the other one would be really costly, even if it didn't have a price on it.

Well I took the chance that it would cost less, and asked how much it costed. Right after the guy said: "99 cents", I was just floored. I had that buck out right away. The tax came out to $1.05, and I was pissed I didn't have a nickel, because he had to make change--and his lady coworker had just arrived. I thought she was going to ruin my score, and price the thing higher (like at $30 or something). She didn't, and I just about ran out of the store.

So here's what I got for 99 cents:

A Gameshark Pro version 3.2 (I already had a gameshark, but it is version 2.1)

It came with a video tape on how to construct codes.

I tested it out, and it has awesome features! It has this virtual memory card thing (not sure how well it works). I tested it out on Namco Museum Pac-Man, and everything was swell.

I think the place just missed me.

So this is the best deal I've seen, maybe ever for anything.

It is 2 years bad luck to reply to your own post...

I forgot to mention the box that it came in was in an unbelievably perfect condition. Not a rip or a scratch or a dent on the box. I figured this thing was defective (too good to be true sort of thing), but it was the real deal.
