A8 Elite...me things Mark/Wrathchild should reboot this project

Seeming as though, they already have launched or programed several revisions (i think i already have 3 or 4) I am guessing that Mssrs Braben/Bell hadn't hounded them out of existence with C&D notices

 

Even if Mark doesn't want to reboot/restart what he already did, perhaps he can hand over any work he did do to someone able to finish the job

 

obviosly you don't call it Elite, call it something like Star Traiders that way you're hardly going to run into the likes of Braben/bell suing the arse of you

Carmel, as an almost direct port it would be a tribute and so the name 'Elite' would stay.

 

Better focusing efforts on contacting David Braben and finding out directly if there'd be any objection rather than speculating.

I think a better brain than mine (so quite inclusive) will be able to track down the Colony bug... I'd recommend Phaeron but the community can't afford distracting his time from all the greater things he does for us.

And just because you're a busy guy you have now a GAME TO CODE=GAME TO CODE - 1 because Tezz 'rip' us the Barbarian port .

I would personally love to see Wrathchild finish off the conversion, I remember being so excited when I saw an advert for Elite in Page 6 magazine and being so gutted when it never happened. I ended up buying a Toshiba HX10 MSX machine just to play the game!

 

Wrathchild, would you consider accepting some donations if help persuade you to finish it off?
