I tried to convert the titles into text using a website. I may have made mistakes, but came up with this:

1 黃昏雙鏢客

2 星際大戰

3 大力士戰群妖

4 豬哥大戰

Google translations:

1 Dusk double fistful of dollars

2 Star Wars

3 Hercules battle Qunyao

4 Gentlemen Wars

EDIT: It doesn't appear that Chinese characters will display here. Here are Google search links for each title:

#1

#2

#3

#4

Probably would be easier to have the owner test the cartridge and see what games they are.

Phil

I will test and report back soon as I get back home..

I actually started working on my post before you asked what games are on it. I find languages interesting and thought it might be neat to see what the Chinese said.

I agree though about finding out what the actual games are.

I doubt it being an import. There are many games out there that are 4 in 1 and have those switches. They're usually just the same games already known or hacks.

Here are the game screens from the 4-in-1 cart and the hi-res scans of the label.

Thank's for all the help and input. \m/

Digital Press values most 4-in-1 carts between $5-20. Guess it depends if you find a buyer willing to pay a higher price. Most of those are just pirates with little to no modification. Since there are over 8000 carts out there now and probably more that we don't know, only the most diehard collector will want to own everything.

I would take the digital press value with a grain of salt. Pirate carts dont rate too well on rarity and value guides because they are largely an unknown entity, especially with NTSC collectors. However there is quite a growing trend towards certain areas of pirate companies, some of which are fetching large sums. As well as this, Chinese language carts are very rare. IMO they make great obscurity additions to serious collections.

It only takes two hungry bidders to bump the (temporary?) value of a cart; rarity and value are always in the eye of the beholder. However, the generic, no-manufacturer games hardly ever 'do well'. There's a small section that attract top attention and dollar, like boxed Homevision and Funvision.

(PS: AFAIK the rarity and values in the Digital Press in the 'import' section were not made up by NTSC guys)

Well, the price guide I think is over 10 years old now so prices could be out of date, and Joe doesn't want to put out another paper guide update. He was going to about 3 years ago and decided not to. I was a contributor and since he's only 20 minutes from me, stopped in his store once in awhile to see how things are and if the price guide was coming out. My copy of the latest edition is getting ratty. I thought about picking up another one, but he may have sold out by now. I'm disappointed there wasn't another update.

Lol....

Go go home monster from Homevision - value $40.

Anyone finds that one, I'll generously give you double.

Yep... "There's a small section that attract top attention and dollar, like boxed Homevision and Funvision." :)

Indeed.

My laugh was more to do with the database... Like how it came to the conclusion that a game that has never been found before is a rarity 8 and worth $40?
