What is this Atari 1040 STe worth?

Recommended Posts

I got this thing at a garage sale earlier today with the Telepong game, are either of them worth anything? I paid $32 for everything in the photo.

No idea about Pong. If the STe works OK, probably £30 - £40, no idea what exchange rate is atm, I would guess in dollars $50 - 70.

Ya, still has the original styrofoam inside.

The guy said he has a couple of 12 inch Atari monitors in the box too, should I get those from him?

Unit looks pretty used so that will retract on amount you get. Clean it up and retrobrite it if you can.

I'm more interested in:

a) putting it on the shelf for display

b) selling it

c) trading for NES games

Preferably trading for NES games.

Is that a USA model system? If it cleans up well and works good you can get a lot more than $70 for it.

I'm in Canada so it would likely be a North American system though I'm not 100% sure. I think the guy I got it from was the first owner. He still wants to know if I want to go back down and get the monitors which are also still in their boxes.

Yes, unfortunately, I have never gotten my knuckles around an STe system of any sort, because here in the states they still go for big $$ ($200+, depending on the system).

I have tried many times to get them off of ebay and get sniped last minute every time. :(

One day, it will be mine... oh yes, one day... ;)

I got lucky getting mine several years ago. I think I paid $150 with an SC1435.
