Haunted House - Previously Titled ?

The "Did you know" trivia on the main page of AtariAge today for me was about the Atari 2600 game "Haunted House".

It stated that the game was originally titled "Nightmare Manor".

 

I grew up in the '80's and I remember the original title for it was to be "Grave's Manor", as the previous owner's last name was Graves or Grave...Something like that.

 

Anyone else have information on this ?

 

Were there 2 previous titles, or is my memory starting to go .... EEEeek !

You're correct, there were a few different WIP names for Haunted House and Graves Manor was one of them. There is a prototype that was found with the title:

I have a prototype label (unfortunately without the circuit board) that explicitly says Graves Manor as well
