Razelim #1 Posted February 25, 2003 Hello, I just got myself an Atari ST 1040 now I have some questions I have a little box on the side of it called a Videomaster from Microdeal can I connect is to the thing to get my video and audio ffrom the composite port instead of the Monitor connection? If so, how? If not, What Can I do with it? If This device is unable to connect my Atari to the TV, is there any other way to it? There isn't a RF output on it Thanks in advance
sonnenhexer #2 Posted February 25, 2003 Could you post a pic of it? Thanks Michael

krupkaj #4 Posted February 25, 2003 This device is used for audio and video sampling. Audio sampler is stereo, but video sampling is only in grayscale IIRC. There should be box with diskettes with sampler application included.
Razelim #5 Posted February 25, 2003 Well I haven't got the disks, so this thing is virtually useless? but any of you know a way how I can connect it to a TV, since I haven't got a RF outlet
krupkaj #6 Posted February 25, 2003 but any of you know a way how I can connect it to a TV, since I haven't got a RF outlet What model of ST you have? If it has no TV modulator you can use RGB (DIN 13 connector)
Razelim #7 Posted February 25, 2003 1040 STf PAL version
Paolo #8 Posted February 25, 2003 check the pin connection scheme on your user's guide: it is probable that one of the pins in your monitor port is the composite out. IIRC only some versions left out the composite signal to allow a genlock signal (STE). Of course it is better if you use the RGB signals, arranged in a SCART connector. krupkaj #9 Posted February 25, 2003 This model has neither RF modulator nor composite output so you must use RBG. look to http://www.volny.cz/milarb There are description of near all Atari video cables.
LinkoVitch #10 Posted February 25, 2003 I had a similar device to your digitizer for my ST, it was by Micro????? but was black and only did video. The video in is composite only, and I may have the disk still somewhere. If I get chance I shall dig it out.
Atari_Owl #11 Posted February 28, 2003 I have VideoMaster Falcon, and still use it. I have my doubts that the Falcon software would work therefore with the ST, but i have a pretty strong feeling that the software was given out on a coverdisk from ST Format, User or Review in '93 or '94. I'll have a look in case i still have it. Cheers
Atari_Owl #12 Posted February 28, 2003 OK Found a site with it on. http://www.zhell.co.uk/stuser93.html July '93 copy of Atari ST User. There's a zip file there which contains two self extracting TOS files. Copy each of them to a DS Floppy and run them and they should decompress to the necessary VideoMaster Files. If you have any difficulties (e.g. corrupted files), Message me and i can email them to you from my own disks. Cheers
