asmat80
It has the tan boards.
skaredmask
the tan board is what original came with the Jaguar as packed in controller are the start and select button black or gray cause they should be gray than. I had a thread here on AA that had the different controller's types. However I don't know if it got deleted. skaredmask
you could open up you other controller's to find out. If they are tan and do not have the writing on the wiring on them than that means that ""NEW"" controller isn't a original jag controller also Pay heed to the start and select buttons. skaredmask
This is If memory serves right like I said it's been a while since I had a Jag. It dose sound like the seller used a Version 1 controller PCB with version 2 button set's and that means that it's been refurbished. asmat80
Ok, thanks dude! All the buttons are black. The wiring being thin and with writing has now taught me what to look for. I kind have already knew but got lazy. I guess now that cant happen again.
Isgoed
I've looked at my black button controllers, and they all (but one) have the thin cable with the white lettering. The grey button controllers have the thick cables, just like the Pro's. I think that your controller is absolutely original, if it is new is questionable. danny_galaga
Serial number on the back tells the story too. G series for Grey and B series for Black (",) I have seen at least one controller that was G series but had black pause buttons, internally it was still a G series though.... Isgoed
You mean that the keypad buttons were grey, and only the pause/option buttons black? Was this with a new controller?
asmat80
Its a g series. With black buttons. So he must have rebuilt this thing. Now my team tap is acting funny after using this pos. Its pausing the game without hitting the pause button.
danny_galaga
You mean that the keypad buttons were grey, and only the pause/option buttons black? Was this with a new controller? If you are referring to my comment, I should have said all the buttons were black! Pretty sure it was new, I bet towards the end they just threw whatever together at the factory. I can't imagine why you would 'rebuild' something that is new with something else that is new, unless someone just happened to have both and decided to mix them up! If you mean asmats controller, then- As you were!
Isgoed
Yes danny, I was referring to your comment. Thanks for the reply
+save2600
Hey asmat, since you now have a bum Team Tap, you should open it up and figure out how to hack a rapid fire kit into it! Don't believe anyone has tried that yet... but would be a great alternative to expensive controllers that have been hacked up.
asmat80
I did get a refund for this bogus controller. Man, my team tap! lol I might tinker with it. Hey it was a cheap one at the flea market so what the hell.
