Tempest #1 Posted August 11, 2013 I was glancing at this ADAM catalog and noticed something odd at the bottom: http://colecoadam.wordpress.com/2013/02/12/brochure-for-the-coleco-adam-computers-software/ Burgertime on an ADAM disk? This is the first I've ever heard of this. Anyone else seen this before?
NIAD #2 Posted August 11, 2013 Coleco planned to release a "SUPER" version specifically for the ADAM Computer with lots of extra levels and gameplay.
Tempest #3 Posted August 11, 2013 I never knew that. Is there a list of all the planned "Super" games that were never released? I know Super Gorf, Smurf, Frontline, and Subroc but I'm sure there are others.
ed1475 #4 Posted August 11, 2013 There was going to be a Time Pilot Super Game with the outer space level that wasn't in the CV version.
NIAD #5 Posted August 11, 2013 Tempest... Here is the ADAM Collector's Rarity List that I maintain that list a lot of unreleased titles. I haven't updated it in a while, so there are still a lot of things still missing. I'll add more stuff after I acquire them so that I don't have to duke it out with everyone else when the item becomes available!!!! jblenkle #6 Posted August 11, 2013 Hey, Jim...what exactly is this supposed to do? Buck Rogers Data Pack Restorer v1.4 I've tried it before on a zapped Buck Rogers tape and it doesn't seem to do anything. Tempest... NIAD #7 Posted August 11, 2013 Your guess is as good as mine, but I would assume that it either rebuilds the boot-block or it zeros out each individual block of the Buck Rogers DDP which is of course a Right-Directory DDP so that you can use it as a storage DDP. It's been over 25 years since I played around with this utility and I don't even recall if I had any success with it and some of the other Coleco utilities that were supplied to us in CP/M format. I am thinking now that the code for this and SmartBASIC Restorer where used on Coleco's DDP Formatter which was a heavily modded Expansion Module #3 Memory Console. You can read up on this device in the last couple issues of the NIAD Newsletter. Another one of a kind (that I am aware of) item that I used to have. jblenkle #8 Posted August 12, 2013 I always assumed since in the early days people would leave their ddp's in when turning the ADAM on and off, the tape would get zapped and this program was supposed to repair them. But as I said, I never could get it to work.
