oky2000
I have the joy of finally owning a branded matching monitor to go with my breadbin but would like a similarly nice monitor for my 800XL (and other XLs) so can anyone tell me if this UK advert showing what looks like a silver bezzeled video monitor what make/model this is and is it a PAL or NTSC only product? My only other thoughts are getting a mid 80s Sony Trinitron and getting out the black and silver spray paint for the front

oracle_jedi
Looks like a Sony Profeel Television. Possibly a 20 inch unit. I think Sony offered them as an NTSC/PAL/SECAM multi-standard unit. Sony also offered it as a monitor: Edited August 12, 2013 by oracle_jedi
oky2000
Well spotted, never seen a silver and black model of those video monitors by Sony. Better start looking for 14" or 16" Sony video monitors of this case design on ebay now then!
bbking67
I have a 12" model of this sony. In addition to composite, it has RGB support (probably intended for CGA) using a custom interface cable. There is a smoked glass front on the unit. There are no built in speakers but it has speaker outputs. Mine had great image quality (though now the color blend is off and the image has faded somewhat). /bbking67

+Guitarman
Another good match is this one by Magnavox, the Color Monitor 40. Most had a light tan trim but there were some that had an XL matching dark brown trim.
flashjazzcat
Another good match is this one by Magnavox, the Color Monitor 40. MEtalGuy66
The CM80 has RGB as well as composite. ANd they also came with either the light brown, or dark brown trim..
oky2000
Don't shoot me but that would look amazing on my brilliant white Amiga 1000!! The 1084 looks almost like that but that looks way more classy and better designed to me.
+Guitarman
For reference, here is the Magnavox Color Monitor 80 in the lighter color.
