Omega-TI
Watch out for so many old TI-99-homepages, and all these links, all this things that have gone, and end up in "Error 404" today. That´s why I never rely on online available resources, and download and save all things that I want or need. (...and why I sometimes download & save whole servers today) You just gave me an idea for a new thread... thanks!

+Ksarul
There were a few sidecar cartridges: Miner 2049er Espial Killer Caterpillar Arcturus PIO Plus Paraprint Hamsoft The Thorne EMI cartridges were also intended to be sidecar cartridges, but only a few prototypes of those were made in that form. One could also technically list the GROM Buster for the V2.2 consoles as a sideport cartridge.
Andrewmacattack
Do anyone know who actually have those Thorn EMI prototype cartridges, other than Toucan. Edited March 13, 2019 by Andrewmacattack
+mizapf
Do we have unpatched dumps of them? I'd like to add them to MAME in their original shape.
Airshack
TI-99/4 Console! Looks clean but probably a stock photo. Ships from Mexico with (0) seller history. Only weird part is the no power cord mention. Assuming a fake computer would include a fake power cord. SCAM ALERT https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F123690159323 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro Edited March 15, 2019 by Airshack

+FarmerPotato
For anybody looking to find a few TMS9900 microprocessor chips, here are some from the second source that TI was required to have for military sales. They are S9900 chips and can be used to replace the 9900 without any problems. A group of four is only $9.95 plus shipping. I use this seller a lot--and I've almost never had problems with items they sold (their 27C160s only work in 16-bit mode, but that is an almost universal problem with the die revision they have on hand--and this is the only problem item they've ever provided me). Received this today: https://www.halted.com/commerce/index.jsp Surplus store HSC has sold to Excess Solutions. I noticed they sell the AMI S9900 for $15.50. http://www.excesssolutions.com/cgi-bin/item/ES2878
+Ksarul
Nice find, @FarmerPotato. Here's another one that sells six for $18.90, shipping included. It is always good to see that there are multiple sources of these out there, as the S9900P chips are usually a lot cheaper than the TMS9900s for some reason--and the S9901s are usually more expensive than the TMS 9901s. . . Tursi
as the S9900P chips are usually a lot cheaper than the TMS9900s for some reason This actually came up for me today when I was looking at die photos - the SBP9900 looks a LOT neater than the TMS9900. Are they 100% compatible?
+Ksarul
They are--AMI was the required second source for the chips. Any chip the government used had to have an independent second source, and AMI was TI's preferred second-source vendor, so they provided complete technical data to them to allow their chips to be fully compatible.

+OLD CS1
I would like a full top-to-bottom case which better matches the dimensions of the console and gives better support for the adapter. I really like the TexElec adapter, but the joystick port cannot hold it in place very well and it tends to droop under strain and eventually fall out. And our joysticks are "1" and "2", not "A" and "B". I always wanted something like the SunCom thumbstick for the Commodore. Though, being our joystick port is on the left, only lefties like me would get proper use of it
Omega-TI
If you cut out black colored velcro strips to attach the connector, it does an excellent job of holding it in place. Cover the whole side (except for the connector) and press it on.
