TI Related -- Ebay / Heads Up Notice

Recommended Posts

I'm not into ToD myself, but one of the members of the TI community is selling his games for the cart. You can check it out... << HERE >>

I saw this too, unfortunately it's just for the files via email not an actual disk. I have no way to make a disk yet or id be all over it :\ really like TOD

Don't hate me, but I have a boxed ToD (not NIB) in the closet, but I've never tried the cartridge or the tape. I doubt I ever will.

Wow! The joysticks in that auction look way better than the more common TI PHP 1100...

Are these "RARE"-er than the 99/4 ?

They are pretty neat looking. Even though they look like they are proportional, I am betting they are still discrete. Anyone know about the "rarity" of these sticks? I am also willing to bet that everyone here would prefer them over the oft-maligned 1100s :P

That was my first pair of joysticks for the 99/4. After 20-30 minutes of play, the ball has gouged so deeply into your hand that you are in mild to medium pain. . .they are a bit more responsive than the later version of the PHP1100 (they too, are PHP1100s).

On the P/S question, it is VERY appropriate to ask that with the version with the slider, as that one needs an additional input voltage. I'll have to check my 99/4 power supply to verify the actual voltages it outputs. Later /4s work fine with the /4A P/S.

I can only think TI developed the newer 1100 model so both right AND left-handed people could enjoy having their hands cramping up.

They do look like Atari 7800 controllers with only a left button.

NSFW or kids:

I need to kvetch for a second. Sometimes eBay people piss me the phuq off. I watch an item for two rounds, no one bids on it (of course, or it would not go for re-list.) I finally appropriate funds and put in a bid, and some motherphuqr drops a bid in the last minute. Really. Last fucking seconds. Like no one else had an interest until I put in my bid, and they cannot be bothered until the last few minutes just to make certain there is no chance I can reconsider my option. Yeah, I know, that is what the bid system is all about, that someone else can out-bid. Well, if I put $150 on a device and someone comes by a couple of days before the end and out-bids me, that is easy to accept. But to just stalk an item up to the last second -- fuck you, dude! Seriously. With a nail-spiked baseball bat. Sorry, I like to be more eloquent in my writings but sometimes the rage has to speak.

(There is an auction site out there a friend uses which adds more time for every bid, so it is not possible to snipe an auction. Sounds like a great idea to me as both a buyer and a seller.)

This has got to be a very painful experience... But then I have seen weirder things in life :-o

I agree: the guy deserves it. I have had this happen to me many times before (Please allow me to clarify: NOT the bat thingy!).

Yep he also has a 32k Expansion up for sale. I already have both :)

So what's your NEXT acquisition going to be? Any plans for a future expansion?

If you need an RS-232 for your P-Box for communications, or an HDX interface, one of our Atari Age members has one

<< HERE >>

Yeah... if I cannot get HDX software working I may have to go the hardware route. I cannot get the wedge upload to work.

I run one of these, maybe I can help. I'm not familiar with the term 'wedge upload' though. What exactly is the problem?

BTW - A new BLOG ENTRY on the HDX << HERE >>

It is for the software-based HDX variant. You must send the resident loader program to the TI using a CALL LOAD("RS232....

I cannot find the thread where this is mentioned. matthew was having the same problem.

ROFL! :) I understand.

The HxC is AWESOME, if you decide to get it, you'll never regret it.

The problem isn't necessarily in getting the FDC chip (I have at least 20 or so of them). It is in getting more of the boards made, since the layout isn't generally available (and getting a copy of the GAL coding for the BwG).
