Post If You Reserved A Zelda Wii U

Recommended Posts

The PS4 and Xbox One are getting a lot of attention, and rightfully so. But some of us have another purchase in the wings for this fall. The Windwaker limited edition Wii U Deluxe.

So to satisfy my curiosity lol, post if you pre ordered one and from where.

I pre ordered mine a couple of days ago from newegg.com. They don't charge your card early like GameStop often does (despite the fact they claim they don't on pre orders), and their shipping is less expensive. Plus if I had to support one of the two companies, well...

Not that it's a part of the thread but I've also pre ordered a PS4. Seems like my fall and winter will be even busier than this summer, which has me playing games nearly every night as it is!

Recolored? It's a black deluxe if that's what you're talkin about. Just that the gamepad has a golden stencil design on it.

I have the black deluxe Wii U and pre-ordered a PS4, I will not be getting a 2DS as I have a 3DS and DSiXL, I also have a Vita. I'm loaded with Japanese consoles so I'm pretty much done.

I will be buying the Zelda HD remake for sure which could be my third game for the Wii U. I'm highly looking forward to an RPG on the Wii U and how the tablet can be featured.

Unfortunately it's in Japanese but this video shows off some of the gamepad usage-

I went for it.

Console redecorations from Nintendo are a pain to get usually. They really do limit the production, relative to other consoles. Here in Austin, there's no way to find this kind of stuff locally because there are just too many people buying the limited consoles for themselves and to sell. So when I can order any online, I do it.

I reserved a copy of the Zelda HD remake, but not the special console. It's pretty cool, but I already have a U console that I'm happy with.

Great stuff....exactly what I was hoping for. Maps on the tablet controller!

Yeah the gamepad seems to be used well. No more going into the pause menu.

It's nice to hear everyone's plans for this. I wish there was an easier way of transferring your purchases from one deluxe to another, so getting these limited edition systems would be easier if you're already a Wii U owner. I only had about 30 dollars in purchases so its not the biggest loss.

Oh, FYI. The limited edition with the figurine is now sold out. Kinda curious how long the console bundle will last now.

Just like Okami HD did, it's hard to believe that this is a old game. Looks brand new in that video.

Newegg is now sold out. Looks like GameStop is all that's left.

And holy crap. The sold out figurine special edition game is going for crazy prices on eBay.

I've been seeing posts on various sites that this bundle is already out in the wild at places like Walmart and Best Buy.

Ill have to check locally and see. The more the merrier. The more they make the more they'll quickly sell. Something Nintendo desperately needs.

Walmart has them on shelves but refuse to sell until street date. Trust me I tried. Only four per store. It's going to be a mad rush for these things. Best buy still considers them preorder status and has none at stores.

Went to walmart and got the last one!

Newegg took too many pre orders and I was stuck without one unless Nintendo made more, which who knows if they will being it's a special edition.

SO HAPPY

Wonder how all that stuff will wear after a few years of use. Hope it holds up well.

I don't mind missing out on this mainly because there's just something about customized gaming hardware that doesn't appeal to me unlike most everyone else that loves special edition hardware tied to their favorite franchise. I prefer the plain vanilla version.

It's the same print process as the white ink on the buttons or the white NFC logo. IE: it's not going anywhere....

Now all you need is the gold Wiimote, gold nunchuk, and gold Classic Controller Pro and you'd have a full Zelda setup. There's even a gold Mario Kart steering wheel. :)
