Controller Support - Quick Question

Hi guys, just wondering,

 

are these 7800 controllers compatible with Atari 2600 consoles and games? Just thinking it's a better alternative to a joystick.

100%. Both buttons act as "the" fire button due to some creative wiring inside.

You might like to check out Genesis Gamepads. Buttons B and C can be independently read by the Atari. A number of new homebrews support it, and old games have been hacked to support it.

Honestly, I prefer using my Sega Master System D-Pad controller. The Genesis controller is good though.

 

You could also get a Sega Arcade Power Stick for the Genesis to play on the Atari.
