gamecat80 #1 Posted September 11, 2013 What classic games have your favorite music? Quartet (SMS) and DuckTales (NES) are a couple of my favorites. I have many more too, but those two are at the top for me right now. fiddlepaddle #6 Posted September 12, 2013 Mappy (arcade, plus other versions) Also, maybe not exactly "music", but everyone who was around at it's zenith probably has fond memories of that "boom, boom, boom, boom" coming from Space Invaders in every restaurant, food court, etc of the day. +FujiSkunk #7 Posted September 12, 2013 In the arcades, I would say the mid-'80s Atari Games titles and the late-'80s Sega titles have my favorite music. This includes Paperboy, OutRun, Marble Madness and Space Harrier. Also, the entire Ridge Racer soundtrack, with one very grating exception. On the PC, the Descent soundtrack is easily my favorite, whether you count the MIDI tunes or the studio-recorded tracks they later did for the Mac and PS1 ports. On the C-64, Rambo: First Blood Part Two and Turbo OutRun are my favorites, though there is a ton of good stuff to be had. On modern systems with "collected" soundtracks, nothing comes close to Burnout 3: Takedown, except maybe Rock Band, Rock Band 2, Lego Rock Band...
