esplonky #1 Posted September 19, 2013 I'm looking to buy an EPROM Programmer to start making carts on my own. I need one that is either USB or RS232 and to work with a Linux PC, and is able to program 2732 EPROMS found in 2600 carts. I do not want a Willem. Will negotiate a price in PM! Wickeycolumbus #3 Posted September 20, 2013 Not too many work with Linux, this one however does... http://www.batronix.com/shop/programmer/BX32/eprom-programmer.html That's similar to the one I have, the difference being mine is the original Batupo. It's a great programmer and I haven't had any issues with it. No external power supply and not difficult to learn how to use. I don't run Linux though, so can't comment on that part. My only regret is that I didn't spend the extra cash for the Barlino, which can do a lot more chips than the Batupo. Namely smaller package parts like serial EEPROMs.
esplonky #4 Posted September 20, 2013 (edited) Not too many work with Linux, this one however does... http://www.batronix.com/shop/programmer/BX32/eprom-programmer.html That one is also way out of budget I don't care if it's just a cheap chinese one.. I'm only going to use it for 2600 Carts really. If I get serious about programming EPROMS, then I'll buy a better one in the future, but right now I'm looking cheap Edited September 20, 2013 by esplonky
