PS4 can use phone, tablet, etc.. as controller/seconds screen

Recommended Posts

I hadn't heard about this...sounds pretty cool. I think my Nexus 7 would be just the right size for something like this. I hope it has better functionality than smartglass though. I wasn't to impressed by that.

Or you could buy a U for less and get the second screen for free.. Wii to ps move to u to tablet.. Big N always leading the way.. Copy copy copy...

I never understood the appeal of a screen without controls (physical) while you are also using a standard pad. Seems like it would be a juggling issue. The Wii U pad is at least where your hands are at all times.

Ah well, more options never hurt I guess.

If you want to get technical about it a PS3 and PSP did it before the Wii U. So who copied who.

Yeah, I can't imagine doing it any other way. With the Wii U, everything is there, little to no juggling necessary. It feels more naturally implemented that way. I personally wouldn't be interested in using a second screen separate from the controller already in my hands. It would be neat, sure, but not worth the hassle in the end.
