Help Panzer Dragoon Sega Saturn Disc won't read. Goes to Audio-CD Menu

Hey guys I recently just got a copy of panzer dragoon 1 and for some reason the game doesn't start up. It brings me to the audio cd menu and the system senses that there are 16 tracks of music but there is no start application option like with all the other games. The problem is not my saturn since all other games run perfectly. The disc doesn't have any visible scratches. Any help wouuld be appreciated.

thanks

Sometimes the Saturn will in fact go to the start menu regardless if there is a game in the drive or not. I have had this problem from time to time.

Usually rebooting the game system with the game disc inside will alleviate this...

Good luck. Panzer Dragoon is a great game on a great system!

The thing is the start application option doesn't even show up. All my other games start up perfectly. It is just the 1.

Optical disc drives can be picky and have quirks at times, so I'm sure it's what Skarrj says. For instance I have a pristine copy of Raiden Project that doesn't play on my PSOne that has no issues with any of my other games. But it plays just fine in my slim PS2's and on my PS3.

For whatever reason, this disc and the optical drive in your Saturn just aren't cooperating. Something is ever so slightly off somewhere that is causing a problem with this particular disc. A different Saturn would probably play it just fine.
