I added arrow key/enter/escape support in the next version, so people can use the menu before figuring out the keypad mappings

Oh and hit left alt to toggle fake 'scan lines' in the scan doubler...

I came across the MCC-216 FPGA-based classic system emulator on the weekend:

http://mcc-home.com/2.html

At $150 it's cheaper than MIST, and supports Amiga, C64, Atari 800 plus one or two others.

Not sure how much effort would be involved in getting the 5200 to run on this (not to mention joystick interfaces etc).

PS: I'm very impressed with the progress you guys have made with the MIST-based 5200 :)

There are pros and cons. eg MIST will soon have aga amiga support and has more fpga space.

There is also mcctv for $80 iirc.

Yes I plan to make the core available for mcc216 and mcctv. There is some complexity because there is no USB chip on these boards. So the core has to implement USB itself to support suitable 5200 controllers.

Should mention here that there is a manual available for the core, thanks to Farb, at my site http://www.scrameta.net

There will shortly (few hours) be a new build on my website. There are some new platforms: MCCTV and MCC216. Either use a 5200daptor with real controller or use a keyboard and analog usb joystick together.

If anyone is trying two player the 2nd keypad should now work.

What USB gamepad are you guys using? I have USB-to-PSX adapter and it's not working very well.

5200daptor and real 5200 controller.

MCC official one from MCCTV.

When you say not very well ... any more details? How does it look on Pete's test?

I'm using DIG DUG game for test.

It looks like it always wants to go RIGHT, LEFT is UP, RIGHT is DOWN, always shoots, can not go LEFT, because it wants to go RIGHT.

On Missle Command, I can see the cursor all the way to the RIGHT, when I move the Analog stick to the LEFT, the cursor goes UP. When I move the analog stick to the RIGHT, the cursor moves DOWN.

Looks like the analog values are good, it moves in linear way, but in the wrong direction and stuck on the left of the screen.

What is Pete's Test?

Just to clarify, I'm using MCC-216 with USB-PSX adapter.
