Rev #26 Posted October 1, 2013 You never printed the manual? Was it ever completed? Would it ever be made available to view/print online?
JasonlikesINTV #27 Posted October 1, 2013 I would be happy printing out my own manuals if available.
Games For Your Intellivision #28 Posted October 1, 2013 I never saw the game. So, how could I write a manual? The only version of the game I ever saw was the 'milestone' rom, which is '2 working levels' I've attached it for the curious. The voice was a sticking point in the negotiations. The voice test rom shows the kind of voices I wanted to put in the game. They were tests, and new 'takes' had to be done. I've included the manual cover for those who want to mock up their own manual. hbvtest(1).rom hover.rom
Games For Your Intellivision #29 Posted October 1, 2013 I use the term 'negotiations' loosely. The voice in the game sounds like Berzerk.
TrickyMoon #30 Posted October 1, 2013 that's great but in four pages of threads I can;t figure out what I'm supposed to click to learn what's going on. an argument over progress, expectations, payments, etc... to sum it up, no game. it's all there in two threads but not worth going over again. JasonlikesINTV #31 Posted October 1, 2013 That'll work. I suppose you don't really need instructions for a non-game: Do not insert the cartridge to this line Do not press the disc to start the game Do not choose 1 or 2 players Do not choose difficulty Do pour yourself a drink Do sit back in a comfortable chair and enjoy sweet box sitting on shelf
Games For Your Intellivision #32 Posted October 1, 2013 I agree TrickyMoon. Not here to re-fight the fight. It is over. This is a sale on the left overs. It really is a nice box.
JasonlikesINTV #33 Posted October 1, 2013 Are there plenty left or going quick? I'm getting ready to place an order.
Games For Your Intellivision #34 Posted October 1, 2013 There are 'plenty' as in over 80, but that is all there is, or will be available. Then we are having a great Hover Bovver destruction derby.....I think I will mow 100 of them to death......
cvga #35 Posted October 1, 2013 I know it doesn't matter but was this game going to require the Intellivoice?
Games For Your Intellivision #36 Posted October 1, 2013 Yes, it was going to require the Intellivoice to hear the voice. You need an Intellivoice to use the Test Rom posted.
Rev #37 Posted October 1, 2013 There are 'plenty' as in over 80, but that is all there is, or will be available. Then we are having a great Hover Bovver destruction derby.....I think I will mow 100 of them to death...... This thread is sad. Yet almost exciting in a sadistic kind if way. I find myself thinking of cool ways for you to destroy the extra boxes. That is the destructive side of me coming out! So here I go: A wood chipper and toss in the boxes and sell bags of hovver bovver confetti. Mow the boxes over and mix them with cut grass and sell bags of hovver bovver mulch. Get a burn barrel and torch them and sell the ashes in a little vase or coffin. Pin the boxes up and shoot them with a sniper rifle and sell a bullet hole variation. Find a freind with a pit bull and let him shred the boxes to pieces! :-).
Games For Your Intellivision #38 Posted October 1, 2013 I like the wood chipper idea. Perhaps I should shred them and sell bags of 'Bovver'. :-P
JasonlikesINTV #39 Posted October 1, 2013 You should also find a way to get some of them into the ET landfill while they have it dug up
Rev #40 Posted October 1, 2013 I think the real money is in selling empty boxes! Can you make an empty box for Grand Theft Auto intv version like that youtube video?
