French CV RGB circuitry

As I understand, the French CV uses the TMS9928/TMS9929 just like the NTSC system and then converts the component video signals into RGB. What I'd like to know is how exactly this is done, as I'd like to mod my CV for RGB in addition to component video (which I've already done).
