+Guitarman
This is the hardware I got. It is housed in an 850 shell. You will want to get the joystick port cables (get 4). The power passthrough comes with it. You use a 800 power supply (or equivalent) to power it. If you have this, you do not need the 1200XL test board as this one will test them all. Make sure you get this diag cart 600XL/800XL/400/800/1200XL/XE Super SALT Universal NTSC Diagnostic Cartridge FD100335 $30.00 My post did list the Super SALT Extended Hardware Universal Test PCB(400-XL-XE Computers) FA100332 The full descrription is: C.P.S. Rybags
Aside from collector value, I don't think there's anything special about any of the Salt cart versions themselves insofar as extra hardware hanging off them - no reason they can't just be burnt onto Eprom on standard cart. Although for running off something like an Atarimax flashcart, not sure if you can produce instant-start diag mode carts there or not. SALT is something you'd want to be able to run natively since a malfunctioning machine might start diag mode carts OK but not standard ones.
