Game Informer

This is a bullshit playstation propaganda magazine.  It can be compared to pamphlets handed out by Nazis or communists>

Hey don't mock the commies! LOL.

I don't really care. I'd rather make my own gaming magazine.

I really don't like them.I only get it cause it comes with my GameStop card. The retro part is cool and sometimes they are funny, but most of the time more stupid.

Let's see:

1. Game Informer is a large-sized mag - at least 3/4 inch wider than most mags on the shelf. This means more text and bigger photos.

2. GI seems to have previews for upcoming gams before other mags do - including EGM and PSM.

3. A sub to GI is $10 - $1 an issue. My other mags are $15-$20 for a year sub.

4. GI also comes with the handy-dandy 10% off card at Babbages, Funco, etc.

5. GI also has a "classic videogame" column, so it also kinda covers retrogaming. T&T is the only other mag that does this, to my knowledge.

So, what's not to like? Cheap, bigger, and comes with a discount card. If you don't like the reviews or think the writing is subpar, then just look at the purty pictures.

You....you agree with me? Damn.....

And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal and, Io, there was a great earthquake, and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon as blood, and the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs when she is shaken of a mighty wind. And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of its places.' (Rev. 6 vv 12-14.)

GI isn't biased towards Sony any more. They used to be though.

I think that GI is actually the best magazine available right now. It costs the least, you get 10% off all used stuff at Gamestop, they are experienced, and are very skilled in writing reviews and articals. They don't fill their mag with ads so they can have the most pages (like EGM,) they don't talk shit about their readers (like EGM does,) and they aren't part of the "Ziff Davis million magazines about the same thing" Empire. So much respect from me goes to Game Informer.

250th post. Woo-hoo.

10 percent off at gamestop wont mean shit once they pull their 8 and 16 bit games  :|

I might renew my subscription anyway, even though the card will be utterly worthless. :P

Well, without 8 and 16 bit games, I really have no reason to even go to a Funcoland or Gamestop. I get my most of my new games at Frys or Target.... I usually get a better deal there too. (provided the title has been out for a while.)
