Iron Chef Pontiff #1 Posted March 2, 2003 This is a great game as far as NASCAR games go. It doesnt allow you to set up the car like the Sierra game but this one is more fun for the racing game fan. It has alot of stuff to unlock if you want to spend the time. Does anyone have any good setups they want to share?
Atariboy #2 Posted March 6, 2003 I think I'll stick to NASCAR Racing 2003 Season by Papyrus. I can't post what I think of EA's NASCAR games in fear of being banned from Atariage. I'm a bit biased I suppose. I spend like 2 hours a day at the forums at www.papy.com I want a simulation, not a arcade racer.
Iron Chef Pontiff #3 Posted March 6, 2003 Papyrus is what I meant when I said sierra. That was a good game when I had an older version. I want to get 2003 but funds are tight right now. How is that one? I hear its awsome.
Atariboy #4 Posted March 6, 2003 I knew what you meant by Sierra. They publish the games. I love it, everything has been improved on since N4 and N2002. And if you want to play online, Papyrus sims are the only way to go. And the offline AI is much better this time around if you like to race offline. Games like F1 2001 and F1 2002 have a horrible netcode(Same code as Thunder), and even with both users on a excellent broadband connection warp is terrible. But on a Papyrus sim 40 people can race without warp being an issue, even if some of them use 56k. And if you have a PC capable of turning most of the graphics on high, it looks almost real when watching N2003.
