The 810 diagnostic cart doesn't do RPM - use SpartaDOS RPM.COM.

The cart only does head alignment and burn-in test.

@ Firestorm

Best Electronics has several 810 diagnostic cartridges, it would appear the one you are looking for is the following:

Atari 810 Factory Diagnostic Cartridge. Interpreter, Sector Editor, 810 / 1050 Cartridge based Disk Drive Mech. RPM Speed test and Seek exerciser. This is an Atari disk drive Tech's must have tool. If you do not have one of the old disk based 810 / 1050 speed test programs, this is the only way to easily adjust the Atari 810 or 1050 Disk Drive Mech. critical RPM setting to Atari Factory Spec's. ©

Very nice... can we download these carts?

Not from Jindroush's site (now just archived). He was strictly against such file sharing.

I don't have the cart. It's the site that's archived (notice it's being hosted by AtariMax). Jindroush is out from working with Ataris anymore.

The Old 810's without Data separator and no analog board needed the speed set a lot, the never ones less, and the 1050's was rare to need speed set.

I might get one of the carts from best if I find no rom image.

I used smart dos speed check with a factory format disk.

Here is an old test program.

To bad, I know that jindroush did dump a lot of my carts in the past when I was in Czech Republic, he did a nice job only can someone maybe contact him or tell us where we find these dumps ?

Otherwise we should start all over...

Hello Rene

Jindroush's site has been mirrored several times. IIRC the ABBUC has them (for members) but there should be other places on the net where you can access a copy of Jindroush's site.

Sincerely

Mathy

I think he is looking for the ROMs not the site. Most of the ROMs have been redumped, check the "Hooked on 8bit carts" thread.

Unfortunately not, it's only a game listing plus info.
