AtariLeaf #4 Posted October 23, 2013 Well it's paypal. If it's a scam you get your money back right?
Rhomaios #5 Posted October 23, 2013 Well it's paypal. If it's a scam you get your money back right? The NA scammer also asked for Paypal. Also, look at the similarities: first post on a forum, same game, consolenamefan[atic]number (i.e. atarifanatic12, nintendofan9), never posted anywhere else under this name. But the smoking gun is that the seller just took the pictures from this Youtube video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zpRynwXd7F0 This is 100% a scam.
Andromeda Stardust #6 Posted October 23, 2013 Slick move, but not slick enough. You pull this crap over at nintendoage and less than a day later, you're trying to scam again here: http://nintendoage.com/forum/messageview.cfm?catid=6&threadid=113655
+Gemintronic #7 Posted October 23, 2013 Why didn't he take the advice from the very first post on the other forum? If anyone is going to take you seriously you need to take a picture of the game and add your name on a slip of paper and today's date. You also are going to have to open the game up and take pictures of the circuit board, as that can be faked. For a $600 sell and the cred I'd figure out how to do those things quick. Hyperboy #11 Posted October 23, 2013 Its the same cart as listed on Nintendoage, you can match up scratches and marks, if it was a scam there...it must be a duck.

+Gemintronic #14 Posted October 23, 2013 How easy is it to slip a fast one on paypal? If I were a scammer, is my only chance stalling out the customer until after the claim period?
+save2600 #15 Posted October 23, 2013 What kind of condition is this in? Please let me know final price, so I can have my carrier cut you a check. Check will be written for 4x your asking price an all you have to do is refund my carrier the difference. When replying, please include your address where the item may be picked up, along with your full name, social security number and phone number in case my carrier needs to contact you. Thank you and God Bless!
Crazy Climber #16 Posted October 23, 2013 How easy is it to slip a fast one on paypal? If I were a scammer, is my only chance stalling out the customer until after the claim period? Pretty easy, you face criminal charges of course but that doesn't stop people from doing any number of things that break the law so no different in the paypal scene. Basically paypal goes for your bank account or your back up source (credit card) and if you have no money in the account and plan on not paying the credit card anyways he will make $600. Good scammers build a little bit of a rep first though...
+thanatos #17 Posted October 23, 2013 I will again roll out the 'why do we allow day one/first post sellers." dead horse to smack around.
Andromeda Stardust #18 Posted October 23, 2013 No wire transfers via Western Union? Only use an Escrow service to buy games if they accept western union only and are owned and operated by a Nigerian prince.
