Hello together!

There are some artifacts...

Cartridge: CXL4017 Pascal

As far as I know, this cart was announced, but never released.

Same seems true for:

CX8109 Pascal

CX8110 Pascal Database

CX8115 Pascal-Native Code

CX8116 Pascal-Linker

Does anyone know more? Any hint to dig further? The APX-20102 version is known and not of interest here.

Best regards and many thanks in advance

I read:

In March, 1982, after many promises and much delay, ATARI quietly released their ATARI PASCAL Language System. However, they didn’t release it through the expected channels. PASCAL was released through the ATARI Program Exchange as unsupported software. Adding to that disappointment, it required two ATARI 810 disk drives. ATARI also said that the program “was not suited for learning PASCAL or the ATARI 800 computer.” Furthermore, the absence of a compatible assembler (one which generates relocatable code), limited debugging tools, and incomplete documentation are considered to have reduced the usefulness of ATARI’s PASCAL. Finally, only part of the PASCAL language system was released. Since then, almost nothing has been said by ATARI or anyone else about the product.

It's released as unsupported software through non-expected channels. So it exists somewhere in any form.

Hi Tempest!

As I have written: The "Atari Store Demo Cartridge"

Sorry, typo on my part. I meant "what was assigned to 4017?" Was it always PASCAL or did PASCAL take the place of something else? I ask because I don't recall seeing PASCAL on any old lists.

What do think, is a digitizing of your data possible?

I mean, it is a little step for you, but a giant leap for the Atari community... ;-)

Best regards

:-)))

Yes, you are right, only few people know that.

This is why I thought, that maybe the 2 remaining disks I search for:

Personal Finance Management System CX8113

Personal Finance Management System CX8114

were renamed to Family Finances, but Atari didn't took 2 different CX-numbers for the same software.

A software master list of all times would be cool, free to edit for those, who can contribute some knowledge.
