WizWor
Has anyone emulated an Atari 8-bit computer on the Ouya? If so, how well does it work?
Rybags
I've got Colleen on my Android phone and tablet, phone at least is somewhat lesser capability than the Ouya and it runs OK there so I'd say it'd go OK. That said, interface issues are my main gripe with games and emulation on Android. Touchscreen doesn't agree with me when trying to play a game that originally worked with a joystick. Given the specs of Ouya, practically anything short of a PS2 should be easy work and anything equal or above might even be achievable. ggn
Well, Colleen's author doesn't have an Ouya so there'll probably not be a port from him...
Rybags
Properly written Android apps and games should work on most Android type devices so long as the hardware requirements are met and the OS version installed doesn't deviate too much from stock. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Ouya_software Seems it's locked to the extent it only runs software offered via it's own storefront - no Atari emulation listed there, but of course that could change. From what I know you can run some emulators that are not in the store, like a version of Mame... There is more info in the official forums x) http://ouyaforum.com/showthread.php?2189-Mame-on-ouya/page11&s=741dade4924108ffc57ebb6fa3cd2432 http://dayoftheouya.com/a-list-of-all-known-emulators-for-ouya/
WizWor
I was wondering how an emulator would work with the Ouya's joystick
RevEng
According to this thread, Colleen works great side-loaded on Ouya. You can even map the controller.
