Keatah
Astrocade, Intellivision, Vectrex, ColecoVision -- I'm using MESS for these right now. Are there any better choices? A broad question 2bsure. But is MESS the best option?
iesposta
BlueMSX emulator emulates Colecovision. I haven't used MESS for Colecovision, and only a port for iOS based on Blue MSX to play Colecovision on my jailbroken iPad. Sorry I can't help any more. I would really like to play Incredible Wizard as I have been trying and failing to get a good deal on a good looking Bally Astrocade. On mac OSX, I have an Inrellivision emulator, and a java Vectrex emulator. Real Vectrex is superior so I don't really want to emulate, and the Intv emulator is weak also. ClassicGMR
I use: Nostalgia 5 for Intellivision Bee for ColecoVision ParaJVE and DVE for Vectrex (but now I don't really emulate it anymore) I have no opinion on the Astrocade. Never emulated it. Kind of off topic since it doesn't apply to your question but - Mednafen is hands-down my favorite multisystem emulator. If you haven't seen it check it out. Robot2600
ParaJVE is excellent and (legally) comes packaged with all the roms. I'll also have to second Nostalgia for Intv. I need to go try out Bee, gotta play some Coleco today!
Cody_Rock2001
Anyone know if parajve will ever get anymore development I noticed there are a few games that aren't quite right at the bottom of the drop down menu for game choice? Cody_Rock2001
Still probably the best emulator for vectrex though
Robot2600
Dunno about paraJVA's development, but I can say that for Colecovision, after having tried all of the emus out this past week, you definitely want BlueMSX (yes it plays Coleco). Cody_Rock2001
Yes I liked BlueMSX a lot it was a bit tricky at first but once up and running it works great.
Manoau2002
Bluemsx works really well for the Colecovision. If you happen to own a wii I would recommend Wiicolem for playing Colecovision games.
mbd30
The Colecovision must be one of the easiest consoles to emulate. I remember doing Coleco emulation on the 486 and it seemed fast and accurate then.
