TheAtarianGuy
I watch the AVGN fairly often, and whenever he reviews a 2600 game I notice he has some sort of switch covers or something on his 2600. I've been wondering what they are for a while. Does anybody know what they are and where I could find some? Andromeda Stardust
Looks like crap compared to the stock silver pegs. why would you want those?

I kind of like the look of them.
AtariLeaf
I wondered that too when I first saw that video. Almost looks like he took pencil erasers and stuck them on

SRGilbert
Probably some sort of shrink tubing, like the kind for insulating wiring.
MrMaddog
Looks pretty beat up there, probably some rubber or eraser tubbing to replace the switch covers that fell off. That might explain why he uses a 7800 to play 2600 games in some of his videos...
bohoki
sling shot tube clippings
Brian R.
He probably thinks he'll get shocked by them if he touches bare metal, so he put some insulation on them. Don't think too much of the guy. He regurgitates the crack about the 5200 4 port switch box and its "shock," and seems to have no clue how to hold a joystick. Edited November 6, 2013 by Brian R. JadeETC
His Ghostbusters video gives a good look at them. They look like fruit roll-ups. Edited December 12, 2013 by JadeETC
Lynxpro
I swear they sold those things back in the day. Like foam coverings for the metal switches. I almost created a thread about this - but not with the AVGN tie in - because it had been bothering me lately because I remember seeing them in magazines but neither I nor my friends had them. Google Searches have come up blank on the subject for me.

I remember seeing a couple Atari consoles on eBay with the same kind of switch covers a while back.
JacobZu7zu7
I thought they were 80's ''leg warmers'' for the Atari's switches legs...
