MagitekAngel #26 Posted November 9, 2013 Nuts to this guy, I just built my first gaming rig. Nothing blew up, and I'm already ass-deep in Steam and GOG.

Tickled_Pink #29 Posted November 10, 2013 This is one where I think the 'analysts' have got it wrong. I believe that quite the reverse will happen, with PC gaming slowly becoming more popular. A lot of this is because of the amount of effort people are starting to put into PC gaming, especially through the use of crowdfunding for their ideas. It will only take one catalyst or one great idea to make PC gaming popular again. It's strange looking at the ads for the Xbox One. It's being pushed as a home media platform. And yet PCs have been capable of doing the same for less for years. The difference is that Microsoft and Sony are big players who've made a name for themselves as console manufacturers and so customers are more likely to prick up their ears whenever they talk. The PC market, on the other hand, is fragmented with numerous 'manufacturers' all fighting each other for a slice of the same market. So there's no one single voice saying "look at what a PC can do when you connect it to your TV." That's the difference.
