Why can't someone shrink a c64 down to raspberry pi size?

Not an emulator. With real ports that you can plug an actual 1541 and joystick into.. is this not possible?

That's about what the C64DTV was. Not much reason to make it smaller than a joystick.

The Turbo Chameleon in stand-alone mode and with a joystick dock isn't much bigger than a RasPi and can use a PS/2 keyboard and 1541 (it also emulates a couple of disk drives) with the breakout cable connected.
