Mr Do real or fake cart?

Recommended Posts

I picked up an extra Mr Do cart awhile back and there's just something about it that's not right.
The circuit board is different than the other ones I have. It looks like a coleco board,
more like one of the common ones they used for Donkey Kong and Mouse Trap.
And the colors on the label are a bit off. On the main label this cart has less red around the question mark?
and on the wraparound label it has more red around the question mark than the other ones.
The arrow in the pictures points to the cart in question.
I asked the seller about it and he said the game was made by Coleco
The seller is 480peeka he sells a lot of other games that ain't the real thing.

I'm not sure. I'd figure i'd ask the experts here at AA :)
I had a Snoopy and the Red Baron Cart that wasn't real.
Underneath was a Combat label. The seller gave me a full refund.

Label looks genuine to me from what I can see.

But I need a much closer look to see printing differences.

It could be from a later (or earlier) production run than most other carts.

Simple, one is made in country A and the other in country B, not the first time I've seen this. Froggo carts from China, have epoxy blob style ROM's, while the U.S. ones have 2764 OTP's (with half the memory wasted) and an inverter inside.
