gfreige
For sure... need a larger screen Yes, it's big but not even HD. It's a 852x480 old plasma screen. Lots of analog inputs however
Fredrik Öhrström
FullSizeRender 2.jpg New display Both TI and C64 connected. TI F18a and C64 side by side. That is nice! What tech do you use to get them side by side on the same display?
gfreige
That is nice! What tech do you use to get them side by side on the same display? None! Just the built in PIP support. It even support mixed PAL, NTSC and VGA (as shown in the picture. C64 is PAL and TI F18a is VGA)
etownandy
How about a blast from the past? Here I am in '91 in the basement with my favorite computer.
Omega-TI
How about a blast from the past? Here I am in '91 in the basement with my favorite computer. I love these old photos! Honestly, it's one of my favorite things to see here on Atari Age. It looks like our computer desks were made by the same manufacturer. Below is my system in 1990.

Omega-TI
gone before backup. nothing has happened Awwww you took it down. I wish more people had vintage shots of what their computer systems looked like... "back in the day".
Tursi
This is the earliest shot I've got, circa 1988. (I think I've posted it before). Still on a single 90k full-height floppy drive, still one TI joystick (though I'd replaced the other with a third-party Atari stick), the red thing on the $10 B&W TV is a little digital clock so I could track time. E/A in the slot, I think, and no liquid paper on the front of the keys I needed for BBSing (control-period for ESC, for instance), so I didn't have the RS232 yet. And of course, note the reformatted Apple2 floppy. It got put to a greater purpose.
digdugnate
The main focus of this picture is a Commodore playing Omega Race- but you can still see the TI 99 4A in the back I think this was about 1986- i was just a young'un!
+Ksarul
And I am sitting at a computer desk of that same model today, @digdugnate. . .It has one of my PCs and my 99/8 with a PEB on it.
Omega-TI
I think this was about 1986- i was just a young'un! I hope you don't mind, but I tweaked it a bit so your face was not so washed out.
digdugnate
Thank you! These were scanned ages ago and i never really touched them up. :-)
Shift838
My latest achievement. A TI-99/4A-AIO (All In One) Combined 99/4A and PEB in one PC case with new power supplies for both the PEB and 99/4A.
Opry99er
I don't know what to say on that one Chris... It is beautiful, and yet somehow feels "dirty"... Kind of like Pamela Anderson... TI-99/4PA? Slick work.... I would miss my 4A keyboard, but I believe "Daaaamn!!!" is the appropriate exclamation here.
+Schmitzi
Yes this is wonderful I am sure one day I will build that too, but have to learn much more, and I need more mods for that (i.e. the USB one) and more hardware (i.e. SCSI controller) Same for the Geneve
warpman
Wow. Incredible. Very inspiring to me. Thanks for posting the detailed pictures.
digdugnate
My PEB just came in today and I just had to share work-in-progress pics! The mailman looked at me funny when i offered to schlep the very large (and somewhat heavy) box across the street for him partly cos i was SO EXCITED! It has the 32K expansion, the Disk Controller, and a working drive. I was thrilled to boot up TI Logo AND one of the sample programs.
