Chickybaby #1 Posted March 3, 2003 Went this weekend saw this poor lonely TurboGrafx 16, had money in my pocket for once(which of course wouldn't last long), and the price was right(cheap). It came with 5 games - Pac-Land, Raiden, Keith Courage(which I think originally came w/ the sys.), Final Lap and Devil's Crush. Help!? I was wondering from you all what games should I get or shouldn't I get as I don't know much about the system at all and I have no idea what decent games are out there? *So far the list of recomendations from people are - Bonk, Bonk's Revenge, Air Zonk, Bloody Wolf, Splatter House, Galaga90, Alien Crush, World Class Baseball, and Volleyball.*(I really do suck at RPG's though) Thanks for all your help and ideas! I need all the help I can get.

RMila75 #5 Posted March 3, 2003 Blazing Lazers is certainly one to look for. I was lucky enough to find it for $2.99 last year! Great game, but if you have played Gun-Nac, Zanac, and Space Megaforce, you have pretty much played this game. I did not expect it to be quite so similar to those. I do love Galaga 90 as well. I bought my TG16 for that game. There is a good version of Space Harrier on the TG16 also.
NE146 #6 Posted March 4, 2003 Blazing Lazers was cool when it FIRST came out in the U.S... i.e. right when we were getting ourselved weaned off the NES. But yeah, I'd say it hasn't aged that well and might seem less than overwhelming to you if you hadn't played it in it's day. However, having said that, it's one of my favorite games on one of my FAVORITE systems. The TG16
Kid Fenris #7 Posted March 4, 2003 Ninja Spirit. It's awesome, and not too hard to find.
chrisbid #8 Posted March 4, 2003 if you can find them, fantasy zone and space harrier
angrybrit #9 Posted March 4, 2003 There are 2 Bomberman titles on this console. Get'em! They are good. Here's a good site for TG16/PCE/PCFX: http://pcenginefx.com/

Clint Thompson #11 Posted March 4, 2003 Lost Monkey.. You should unpack it and sell it to me;) I've never had a TG16 and would be quite interested.... Btw, you mentioned cheap chickybaby, but how cheap? If it's cheap enough, let me send you the $ for it and you can send it to me! Chickybaby #12 Posted March 4, 2003 Thanks all for the suggestions and web site ideas!!! It seems cool, and I picked up ninja spirit for 1$. If anyone has any TG16 games they want to get rid of (or sell) defenitely have interest. I really don't have anything to trade though.(except a few combats, ET's and a donkey kong for 2600 ) Lost monkey, if you'd like to just send all that packed stuff I'm sure I couold find a great home for it as well. Clint good luck finding one too, I've never had one either that's why I got this one. Didn't have my first system till I was 16 and that was a game gear someone gave me(i now have like 67 games for, lol). So, I have a lot of lost time to make up for myself.(my boyfriend has definitely helped wit that one too)

Where'd you get that dollar Ninja Spirit? I could go for one 'o them.
Chickybaby #14 Posted March 4, 2003 Oh no I wouldn't ask him to give up his system! Just any games he may not want. Some kid got ninja spirit for .50 and realized he didn't have the system - so I offered him $1 for it. What I want to know is where he got it for .50! Thrift stored around here suck but he lives way up in northern PA so maybe the selection is better there.
Lost Monkey #15 Posted March 4, 2003 Heh.. I won't be sending my TG collection anywhere soon... It's packed up because I had an unbelievable opportunity to buy another house last week - at $50,000 below the market value! I couldn't sleep a few nights thinking about it, so I started packing some things up. Then the deal fell through... one of the owners of the home wouldn't accept the offer, so now it is going to the bank... So.. I guess I'll just unpack now... digitalpress #16 Posted March 4, 2003 I would like to take this opportunity to share one of my favorite pictures of all time. Is it a picture of my beloved wife? No. A sprawling landscape of mountains set against a majestic sunset? No. It's this one.
joeybastard #17 Posted March 4, 2003 That is a beautiful picture! I wish I had that many TG16 games. I have about 12 (I think it's been packed away do to a move), about half cards/half CD. I had never had a TG16 before last year when I got one from somebody at work. I love the system/CD but I wish it had better controllers, they hurt my hands. Lost Monkey #18 Posted March 4, 2003 I would like to take this opportunity to share one of my favorite pictures of all time. Oh bliss! Bliss and heaven! Oh, it was gorgeousness and gorgeousity made flesh. It was like a bird of rarest-spun heaven metal or like silvery wine flowing in a spaceship, gravity all nonsense now. As I viddied, I knew such lovely pictures!

No. A sprawling landscape of mountains set against a majestic sunset? No. It's this one. WOW WOW WOW!!! I am about half-way thru my SMS collection and have just begun to get my TG16 collection started. I only have 5 SW, 2 in box, 5 in case only. I need to win a lottery. Why did I ever sold my old stuff?!?!
NE146 #20 Posted March 4, 2003 I got about 54 tg-16 games... but zero boxes
angrybrit #21 Posted March 4, 2003 If you've got a TurboDuo, you've gotta try Dragon Slayer and Ys. I payed a lot for that TurboDuo when I was younger but I was hooked on Dragon Slayer and Bomberman.

Bivotar #23 Posted March 4, 2003 I should take one like that of my SMS stuff! Do you have access to a gymnasium or something? Where would you find enough floor space to lay out all your SMS goodies? I have a really nice boxed TG16 with boxed accessories (controllers, multitaps), and all original paperwork/bags. Even a few boxed games like Splatterhouse. I've played around with it and it's a cool system, but it just doesn't keep me interested. I've been meaning to put it up on eBay, but if anybody is interested in trading for it, drop me a line. MegaManFan #24 Posted March 4, 2003 Do you have access to a gymnasium or something? Where would you find enough floor space to lay out all your SMS goodies? You may have a point. I still think Omar from the SMS Forum has me beat by a long shot though. You know that saying that is like waving a red flag in front of a bull right? I'll have to see if I can talk Michelle into letting me bring another console into this house. If she knows it's you, MAYBE she'll relent.
Starscream #25 Posted March 5, 2003 TG 16 RULES!! IMO, best system ever If I wasn't so lazy, I'd put a pic of my collection up. I have every single American game ever released, all 100% complete(except I need the box for Turrican). Also have every version of the system - TG 16 and CD, Turbo Duo, Express with TV tuner - all boxed complete and mint. Have a few imports and I also have a complete Super Grafx pacakge with all 5 SG only games:) Awesome system chicky !!
