Harmony SD card slot spring issue

Most times I use it, the SD slot spring won't spring the card out.

Each time I have to press it about six or seven times (there's just enough travel to press it still), then it comes back to life for a couple of presses before not working again.

The card's definitely not catching anywhere either.

Anyone else had this?

The instructions say to never just pull the SD card out. Is it really that bad to do if the spring dies completely?

The slots are rated for 100,000 insertions so this isn't a common issue.

The slot does seem to tolerate the card being pulled out but it's certainly not designed for it. I put that verbiage in the manual because I saw some users of other flash carts pulling the card out, apparently not realizing that I used a push-push SD slot (even though they cost significantly more) while basically no other flash cart does (that I've seen.)

Before we say it's a defective slot, maybe it's the card.

I've found some cards are too thick, usually due to the label. I'd try a different card or peel off the label.

If it is the slot, you can send the cart back for repairs and I will gladly replace the slot free of charge.

Thanks Batari – I'll try another card adapter.

At the end of the day, if I can also pull the card out manually without damaging anything, that's fine too, so shouldn't require replacement. (Thanks for the offer though.)
