Super Mario I original NES

Recommended Posts

Anyone knows if there is a maximum of coins per line, per screen or they are radomly placed (never the same place everytime we play)?

And whats the maximum number of enemys per screen line?

We have two types: turtles and mushrooms. When they are the two at the same time we can have what maximum two of each total of four?

P.s.- Does our A8 Bros has the same game map, coins and enemys places as the original NES version?

I know there were some hidden areas in the game that had a lot of coins. Here's a screen capture I found on the web of one of them. The coins are not randomly placed.

This is probably a question better suited to NESDEV.

From what I know the levels have some scheme where it doesn't store each brick but each run of bricks instead. Maybe that applies to coins.

As for randomness.. I think the manual said something about the monsters being more frequent and or harder the more you kill. It's been a long time.

Check out www.nesmaps.com They have a ton of Nintendo maps. Take a look at the world 2.1 map I've posted below. I labeled an area where you could potentially have 9 objects/enemies and Mario on the same screen and a second area where there could be rows of coins across the whole screen.
