PacManPlus
Thank you I try to do the best I can within my abilities. And I also have to admit, one thing I found interesting, was on the title screen, when you hear the "Fighter pilots..." sample, the logo keeps color-cycling. I just thought that was pretty cool, since I thought SALLY could only work on playing the sound, and nothing else. Funny you should notice that - I was able to keep the color cycling with only a minor hit in speech quality. I also tried to keep the 'stars' falling in the background, but that reduced the speech quality too much. Albert
I've added Astro Blaster and K.C. Munchkin back to the store for those who weren't able to get them in the first round. ..Al

san-d-2000
Today i received Astro Blaster and KC, i was wondering if these games have ever been tested on PAL machines?, because black shows as burgundy on my Atari 7800 which sort of ruins the Arcade feel, i never had this problem with other homebrew games, and i tried all region settings on my TV. AtariBuff
Sandy, if that's really the case it would be a shame... My 7800 is out on repairs so I can't try them out right now.
Trebor
The Astro Blaster and KC *.a78 ROM files under MESS (a7800p) yields the same reddish-burgundy background results: Perhaps the MESS debugger can assist to track the issue down [?]
san-d-2000
That actually looks better than on my real Atari 7800, i send Alfred a message. Andromeda Stardust
I think the PAL-exclusive burgundy color looks kinda kool in a way. Too bad I can't switch modes on my console, LOL! Speaking of KC Munchkin, I haven't played mine yet. Time to get krackin' Edited January 24, 2015 by stardust4ever

Here's two more captures with contrast, brightness, and saturation adjusted under MESS:

Jinks
That looks like true Atari expert setting screens when you took too much time or your going to die. Switch to teddy bear for black background...

Albert
I have a corrected binary for Astro Blaster and K.C. Munchkin. I need to get it into someone's hands who can test it on a PAL console, and then I can help those of you in PAL-lands. ..Alfred
keitaro
I got PAL version of both games some time ago and has the red background, but at leat in my case, is a dark color that can be corrected by setting off a bit brightness. Great games! I specially wanted to play Astro Blaster on real hardware. Anyway were the new pal roms tested?
san-d-2000
Yes i received my replacement copies last weekend and all colours are correct now.
