A Flash version was made, apparently after the 2600 version. You can play it here.

 

The article author appears to have confused the order of events a bit, but he didn't completely smurf it up.

I've still got my cart from the first run. It's one of the items in my collection that people never believe is real until I show it to them in action.

 

Fun game, to boot. Better than any Halo that came after Combat Evolved.
