+atari2600land #1 Posted December 21, 2013 I am working on a version of GoSub for the Nintendo DS. And I'd like anyone who has a DS flash cart to please test it out and make sure it works. I plan on getting a flash cart soon, but I just want to make sure it works before I do. And if you can, please send me a pic of the title screen or the beginning of maze 18 (the current one.) You can download the game here: http://www.atari2600land.com/gosubds/ Also, I have an original near-launch DS, and I need to know which flash card to get. I would also like to sell my game when it's finished, but I think I would get into legal problems? What's the legality on selling DS homebrew games? classiccollector #2 Posted December 21, 2013 Seems to work fine with my DSi, I'm using a DSTWO SupercardTitle screen I here a bleep of the submarine and on the maze I hear sound when running into walls and receiving key, etc... If I can help you out any other way let me know. I will try it on a early release later.
+atari2600land #3 Posted December 21, 2013 Cool! Thank you for testing it.
+atari2600land #4 Posted January 22, 2014 Up to 19 mazes now. The game starts on maze #19 now, though. I also would like to reask my questions from post #1 about the legality of selling homebrew DS games and which flash cart I need to get for the earliest of the DS models. +Gemintronic #5 Posted January 22, 2014 Cool! I think DS Game maker was one of the links I gave you awhile ago Homebrew is perfectly legal but Nintendo blocks flash carts on a regular basis.
+atari2600land #6 Posted January 22, 2014 (edited) I wonder now that the last DS games have been released and it's now obsolete whether they'll keep blocking flashcarts. Edited January 22, 2014 by atari2600land
AtariLynx Lover #7 Posted January 27, 2014 With a DSi, yes, they're still blocking them if I remember correctly, but using a normal DS you should be fine.
+atari2600land #8 Posted February 15, 2014 Update: This is being worked on again. I'm now up to 23 mazes. I'm wondering how many mazes would be the perfect number to finish at. Right now I'm aiming at 100, but does that seem too long or short? Give me your thoughts about that and the game in general. Link to current build is in post #1 of this thread.
