"Replay" is a great history of video games

Recommended Posts

I'm almost 200 pages into it and it's superb so far. Sure it discusses the usual about Atari, Nintendo, etc. but also goes off the beaten path and discusses such things as European computer games and Japanese porno games. It even gets into the old computer demo scene (eg. Future Crew) and how it broke off from the game cracking scene.

Even if you've read other video game histories, this book probably contains a lot of stuff that you didn't know.
