Atari Cartridge Board Research Assistance Required.

Recommended Posts

Im looking for info on the useage of board model C015783 REV. A . The only useage Ive found to date is on the CPS 810 Diagnostic cartridge ( circa 1982. ) . I know it is a tall order to ask of the community but if you could please check your Atari 8 bit Black carts with metal backs in the CXL4000 series labels for this board for me please. and please message me your finds if you come across any that look like the one below. I am assuming that this board's run should be between 1981 -1983. ( guesstimate at the moment ). Thank you for your assistance on this project.

One member mentioned to me these are early A8 boards that would have been made in 1979-1980 so perhaps anything from 1979-1983 would be a better range than just 1981-83. Anything in the CXL series I think would probably fit cause in 1983 it looks like Atari moved on to the redish pink colored boards. . I do appreciate the look through Russ.

Most Atari cart boards take masked ROM chips which have built-in chip select decoding. This board uses a 74LS00 chip to decode chip selects for standard ROMs such as 4K 2532 EPROMs. So this board would have been used only for prototypes and low-volume carts.
