LoTonah #1 Posted January 2, 2014 Using a program called WineSkin, I was able to take my Virtual ADAM folder from my Windows computer and get it running on my Mac! 2 slight problems so far... 1). The resulting folder is huge. It is almost 500Mb, but then again it holds all of my tape & disk images 2). Haven't figured out how to get the keypad to work on carts... keyboard input works on WPS and TDOS (that's all I've tried, so far). But I'm sure those problems are fixable. If anyone is interested, I'll try to help them figure this out. Happy New Year!
hardhat #2 Posted January 2, 2014 I think you need to hit F9 to switch to joystick keypad, when running game roms. Give that a try. On a mac, F9 tends to do something like show the desktop, so you might need to hit fn-F9 or similar.
goldenegg #3 Posted January 6, 2014 You can always simply run AdamEM in DOSBox. It works great.
NIAD #4 Posted January 7, 2014 When using Virtual ADAM, you are actually running ADAMem in DOSbox and it includes a very nice GUI... although it is a Windows based program, hence the need for WineSkin. Seeing as there is a learning curve to using ADAMem, it is probably best to start with Virtual ADAM or even the frontend that Marcel de Kogel wrote, ADAMem Manager.
