JTmoney #1 Posted January 4, 2014 Fellow Gamers, I have an out of the box Adventure Vision unit available with 2 games. I recently found out that my wife is pregnant, so I am left with cleaning out as much as possible to make room. I live in Virginia and I will ship, but I am not responsible for damage during shipping. I will not give a starting price as I want to let the demand drive the price. If I do not get enough then I will find a way to hide it from my wife. The bad news : The joystick will only control going to the left. (I don't want to dismantle it to fix) The sound works, but the switch has to be just right for it to work. I only have two games, Space Force and Defender. Only Defender boots up, but I haven't tried to clean any contacts or troubleshoot. The good news : All buttons, speaker, LEDs, and rotating screen works fine. So please, if you are interested, make me an offer. Please don't try to low ball me though, I know how hard these are to come by. ianoid #2 Posted January 6, 2014 Sadly, worth a bit less when not in perfect working order. I won't make an offer for fear of being lambasted as a lowballer, even though I'm sure I wouldn't be far from market rate. At least you tested it and are honest about it's functionality! JTmoney #3 Posted January 6, 2014 Well, we can't get the ball rolling without an offer. You never know what will happen. JT
stupus #4 Posted January 7, 2014 I think part of the problem is when you don't set a price and you tell everyone not to make low offers you have basically closed the doors on most of your already small market of niche buyers.... Its very hard for one to judge what may be lowball on a broken item.
+5-11under #5 Posted January 7, 2014 Got any references? eBay? Other?
JTmoney #6 Posted January 7, 2014 References? I don't sell stuff for a living, so no references for me as a seller. And by lowball I meant don't offer me 50 bucks for something we know can go for more than 500.
JTmoney #7 Posted January 7, 2014 I'll meet in person if you want to pick up in VA, how's that for buyer protection?
thevnaguy #8 Posted January 7, 2014 ok, I will be the first. 100 dollars gotta start somewhere for a limited functioning one
bomberpunk #9 Posted January 7, 2014 i would like to chime in with this information: in july 2010, my now-wife got me a working loose system with all four games for just under $800 (on ePay). taking into account a working system, double games, AND a 3.5 year difference, i would say that a reasonable price for your unit would be somewhere between 300-450 shipped. you might want to show more pics of the underside labels, the battery cover (if present), and the condition of the terminals. that alone would drive up the offers a bit. good luck with your sale and congrats to the lucky person who ends up with this amazing machine! Zwackery #16 Posted January 9, 2014 Did you really have to resurrect a bunch of old threads from 2009 to advertise your broken item?
Zap! #17 Posted January 9, 2014 Where do you live? You better say NY or NJ, or at the very least PA or CT.

Care to share the final price tag? Just curious, I know it's not really any of my business.
