+DZ-Jay
Lid gaming skills. Congrats. I could never get past the guy who shots at me. You should watch some of Liduario's or S.BAZ's videos. They show some techniques on how to beat the robot. There's always next year! -dZ.
+intvsteve
Grats to the winners! DZ, if you could, please PM me scans of the various patches for the website. mphokie
I really enjoyed the competition. For me, the only "problem" was the travelling I had to do this year, that prevented me from catching Scalpel at the end.

Oscar G.
Thank you Dz for the results and for ensuring that the competition was fun. December is the Intellivision month in AA and Carol leads the charge... I was thinking that in the same way as Battle Kid is the poster boy of the new generation of NES games, Carol is the poster girl of the new generation of Intellivision games… Can't wait for Carol 2! Fushek
Busy Bee: The participant who played for the most days throughout the championship. Fushek (21 days played) No wonder my wife doesn't like the Intellivision . Another great year of Carol competition! Liduardo Jesus, Arquillos and Oscar all forced me to keep playing just so I could come in second (my winning game ended after 4 AM!). They were great to compete with ... look forward to facing off again next year. I REALLY wanted a mug this year after missing out last year and now I'll have one . Between having the special edition of the game, a mug and several patches, Carol is the jewel of my homebrew collection!

It seems that if you are skilled enough to beat the game a few times over, you still are most likely to end up dying on the next Candy Cove. More Novice Elves die on Krystal Keep than on Twisted Toyland. Helper Elves have a higher incidence of death on Candy Cove than on any other stage. So it seems that as soon as they earn enough skills to save Christmas, and upon being promoted to Helper Elves, they end up caught in the Candy Cove trap. Apparently this early trauma is enough to affect their gameplay even as they advance to Grand Masters.

(Actually, I'm terrified of leaving a stain in the mug, or dropping it ... or ruining it in the dishwasher, or getting a fingerprint on it ... allow me to refine my statement): I look forward to drinking some hot chocolate while STARING at the mug. There ... that's better. Much less stressful .
+DZ-Jay
Ah! For those of you who last year received your mug, but were afraid to use it: don't fret! My wife and I have been using our own CvW mugs exclusively, daily, for drinking coffee, and it has survived an entire year of hot liquids, microwaving, dish washing, and soap and other stuff. It's still as good as new, so you needn't worry about using it. They are good quality ceramic mugs. dZ.
