Embedded links? WHAT MAGIC IS THIS???????

LUnBwy0.jpg

yeah inline links are really bad for mobile web browsers. They are dropped completely or pre-loaded (depending on content) or you try to copy paste it and always accidently activate them. So using a compatible format for all devices and forums is much better in my opinion. In case of you tube links sometimes web sites do not accept them so describing how to get there (specially as the search keys lists only the required content) is better under this circumstances. Some websites really follow their copyright rules and conducts but others don't care which permission is required or not....

Sorry, but there is no reliable way to extrapolate stereo sound from a mono source without effing up the audio. Most use delay or reverb or crossovers or panning or some other stupid tech to get different sound out of the left and right speakers. If the source is mono, it is far better to just get a clean sound by sending the same signal to both speakers. A lot of great mono recordings were ruined by attempting to extrapolate stereo sound in the early days of stereophonic records. Many of these stereo remasters got dubbed into every format known to man and in some cases the mono masters got lost to time. Now they know better and simply remaster mono recordings and movie sound tracks as dual 2.0 mono. Hollywood is pulling the same bullcrap today by converting old 2D movies into 3D when it's simply not the same realism as footage captured by true stereoscopic cameras. You can't get two channels out of one (or 4 or 5 channels out of 2) unless the content was originally recorded or mastered for multichannel then downmixed through some specific encoding algorith such as Dolby Pro Logic.

well from technical aspect it may be quite easy to convert old 2D games to 3D as you can see with the Nintendo 3DS. The playfield is static the sprites are created by special hardware, so why not simple hook to the system and try to generate pseudo 3D effekts like the 3DS do by analyzing the content of the input register? Sure must be a FPGA solution and requires deep knowledge but it can be done. I'm very interested in such a development work... ;-)

The developed firmware of the stereo/surround solution do some tricks to get some kind of Stereo and Surround Sound. Sure it is not 100% real stereo and surround but it is much better than the mono signal. And this is the important point here. If you do not like it simple disable the switch on the back of the console. the main problem was to find a suitable solution for the nature of a video game console using the generic mono to stereo approach results in bad experience. I've tried it first and failed. Then after some discussion with my private specialist (who designed components in the audio area for over 40 years) he immediately provided an approach. And the result is amazing and much better than the mono signal. He also designed a pseudo stereo surround solution many years prior to the first TV sets with that feature. He was finally hit by cheap China copies of his concept converting his 30x20 PCB into one single pseudo-stereo chip.

Btw. sending the signal to both loudspeakers is not "Stereo". It is still mono offered by two loudspeakers.

well if you are interested it is a small step even my grandma can do. If you are not interested well even no problem.

its even simpler for you to post a link, seriously Atari audio mod on youtube shows up starting off at 7 pages of results, I am not going to guess which one you are responsible for

if you are too lazy to post a link to your own work, then no, I am not interested

I got a reverb on a amp and can plug thru any system as well.. this is not genius. This is BS!!

The details are its crap.

A wonky digital processor on a mono signal to provide great sound.

Its an effect. No true stereo or any groundbreaking ideas here. You even had to talk to an audio expert to figure this out and market it as your.. WOW. I used to hook up all sorts of amps to different effects units and so on when I was 9 years old. All this is doing is trying to market it as something new and for sale..

Not all people are complete idiots.

A problem is you are selling it as "real stereo / surround," when you should be selling it as an effects processor.

Some of my 2600's are split to L / R STEREO.

If separation of audio channels 1 & 2 don't sound good, I have a setting on the tv or theater amplifier to make it mono, or other selections for effects like simulated surround, wide, hall, sports, etc.

Is it hard to understand some like mono?

Yars Revenge sounds great in mono, spectacular when played very loud with a subwoofer!

Thats why you have a switch on the back to disable it. If you do not like them stay at mono. All models including the 2600jr white, red, black edition and also the stormtrooper series will have them, too.

Can we see a photo of the device? Or does that violate some BS regulation :)

Have a look to the retrovideogamer.co.uk website there are pics.

Else there were some auctions within ebay. E.g. http://thumbs1.ebaystatic.com/d/l225/m/meo18q1xY86lX_HGcyqQs-w.jpg

The stormtrooper and droid edition is currently in production and hopefully available soon by local retailers. Most of them are already ordered by collectors so i will bet they are sold out as quick as the other edition.

As i gave order not to sell to specific people and countries it may be hard to get one anyway. 25 devices in first run, a total of 50.

We all have seen Atari consoles before. I was referring to a photo of your audio device.

If you continue with this line of stupidity, I'm sure no one here will even consider purchasing your device.
